Kyle has been commuting by bike for over a decade, and has done so car-free for several of those years. A large part of his life’s work is getting as many people on bicycles as possible. While a firm believer in the bicycle as a mode of transportation, he is fascinated by all facets of biking, from touring to fixed gear. Kyle’s work wrenching on bikes started with maintaining and perfecting his own bike and then progressed to helping out at bike co-ops and doing commissioned builds. He is also involved in his home community of Sheboygan, working to improve bike infrastructure to make the city more accessible for cyclists of all ages and abilities. Kyle is also a licensed PTA and therefore has an extensive background in ergonomics and body mechanics and can assist cyclists in making their bike a perfect fit. At Green Bicycle Co. Kyle is involved in repairing customers’ existing bikes, as well as helping customers find the right fit from our catalog of commuter-oriented bicycles.

I've been a transportation cyclist for the majority of my life here in Sheboygan Wisconsin. The simplicity, perspective and inherent exposure to the outdoors, that is very much apart of bicycle transportation, has always made sense for me and I've built my lifestyle around it. Antique and custom bicycles really revived and deepened my interest in the details of a build and the process of making a bike optimized for its user and its purpose. I love exploring all the differences in componentry and design and seeing people personalize there bikes and connect with their geography and community through them. I've been organizing small group rides as the Sheboygan Bicycle club recently and have been involved in some bike packing overnighters the past couple years. I'm really excited to see the cycling community growing in Sheboygan and exited to be apart of it through Green Bicycle co.
