In *Palaces for the People*, Eric Klinenberg shares his beliefs that the future of democratic societies rests not simply on shared values but on shared spaces: the libraries, childcare centers, churches, and parks where crucial connections are formed. Richly reported and ultimately uplifting, *Palaces for the People* offers a blueprint for bridging our seemingly unbridgeable divides.
We will meet in the Loft (3rd Floor) of Mead Public Library. Snack and refreshments will be provided.
The book is available for purchase at the Green Bicycle Co. shop or the audiobook is available through Libro.fm or check out your independent book shop of choice! Mead Public library options are shown below.
Join us for a discussion of the book including its overarching themes and principals and how these methods can be strategically applied to the City of Sheboygan. We invite organizations to share their work with opportunities for discussion and feedback.
