Sheboygan Bicycle Art Project
Happy Bike and Walk Week, Sheboygan! We are excited to share the bicycle art project from South High School students. Thank you to Brian Sommersberger, Sheboygan South High Art Teacher, for collaborating with us, and a big thank you to the students for creating wonderful artwork.
A bit more about the project.
Drawing intensive students at Sheboygan South High School were asked to research various biking paths and active transportation infrastructure in the City of Sheboygan and then used this research as the foundation for an art project referred to as the Sheboygan Bike Project. This initiative started in order to artistically and creatively display the beauty in bicycling and also was used as a tool to help expose local students to biking in their city. Using a variety of mediums, students utilized both their personal recollections of bicycling in Sheboygan and the research they completed to display unique interpretations of bikes and the value they have in the city.
Congratulations to all of the students that will be graduating on Saturday, June 10!
