In the Weeds Book Discussion

We will meet in The Loft (3rd Floor) of Mead Public Library. Snack and refreshments will be provided.

Mead Public Library has copies of “Strong Towns” by Charles Marohn Jr. ready for checkout. Participants can pick up copies from the 1st floor Customer Service Desk. Present your library card and mention the “In the Weeds” book discussion name, and staff will have you fill out a sign-out slip.

The book also available for purchase at the Green Bicycle Co. shop or the audiobook is available through Libro.fm or check out your independent book shop of choice!

Join us for a discussion of the book including its overarching themes and principals from 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Then, from 6:30pm to 7:30pm we’ll discuss how these methods can be strategically applied to the City of Sheboygan.

The book discusses urban design and will help us dig deeper into why inducing growth and development has been the conventional response to urban financial struggles along and how cities can focus on bottom-up investments to strengthen the community financially and improve people's quality of life.

If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to Heather Cleveland via email at heather@greenbicycleco.com and place “Strong Towns” in the subject line.

RSVP is not required but helpful! If you plan to join us, please complete the form below.
